About me

Welcome! I have become a translator by accident, but now I realize that this profession is the perfect marriage of my passion for languages, literature, reading and writing in general, creative thinking and problem solving, independence, information gathering and inborn curiosity. I am a native of Poland, but have spent twelve years living in the U.S. of A. This experience allowed me to learn the language extremely well, at the same time giving me an inside view and understanding of American culture. Since my return home three years ago I have been giving private English lessons and translating.

 Experience

Translations in the field of economics, construction, informatics, financial reports, legal contracts.  My largest undertaking so far is translating "Three Preliminary Papers on the Economics of Occupational Safety and Health" by Peter Dorman (about 90 pages).

Interests

I am a Sunday painter, but I do intend to make painting my full time profession when my hair turns gray. In my free time I play guitar, walk up and down the little mountains I live next to, read political and economic blogs and watch movies.
